With our general and restorative dentistry services, we provide the basic care our patients need to preserve their dental and oral health. For fillings, we use a white composite resin that repairs enamel while maintaining a tooth’s whiteness. No longer will you show dark fillings when you laugh or smile. We also provide crowns that protect damaged teeth, including those teeth that have experienced root canal therapy. 

Dental implants are our patients’ preferred method of replacing teeth that have been lost. A dental implant will feel, look and act just like a natural tooth. Because of our in-house skills, we do not need to refer patients out to other practitioners to complete dental implants. 

We can also provide our patients who are missing teeth with a variety of dentures. When several teeth are missing, we can create a comfortable partial denture. When all upper or lower teeth are missing, we can provide complete dentures, either ones that rest on the gums or ones that are supported by dental implants. This last type of denture is called an “All-on-4” because it is usually secured to four dental implants. 

Our surgical skills also enable us to perform both simple and complex extractions. Even difficult wisdom teeth extractions can be expertly performed at Dental Arts of Salem.

When our patients come to us for aesthetic improvement of their smiles, we consider not only the technical aspects of the case but also the aesthetic aspects. We want a smile to look natural and to enhance a person’s appearance and their style.

For a smile darkened by age or dark beverages like coffee, tea or cola, we can offer brightening with the Zoom! system. In about an hour, this system can brighten teeth as much as eight shades. We also offer our patients the Opalescence take-home whitening system. 

Crowns and veneers have much to offer the damaged smile. Both treatments cover a tooth that is chipped, badly discolored or poorly shaped. Teeth that are uneven lengths can be evened out. Spaces between teeth can be filled in. Both treatments offer fast improvements. 

Orthodontic treatment with ClearCorrect offers our patients the same improvement as metal braces in about the same time, but without the metal brackets glued to teeth, and no metal wires. Instead, a series of clear acrylic aligners is custom-created for each patient. The patient wears each aligner for about two weeks and then begins to wear the next one in the series. As the patient progresses through the series, the aligners gently shift their teeth into the right positions.
